Mr. Karthik Kaushik is the founder of Bazaar Gateway Business Solutions (BGBS) and the primary driving force behind the company’s mission to enable businesses simplify their market entry practices. He has served across both sides of the sales transaction aisle – first, as a procurement consultant in the initial half of his decade long professional experience, followed by his present role focusing on conceptualizing and implementing market entry strategies for clients. His unique perspectives across the business development spectrum have led to several international companies deciding on India as their next growth market in close collaboration with BGBS. He is a former supply chain management consultant, with significant experience in advising Fortune 500 companies on managing and optimizing their procurement budgets internationally. Having spent time on ground across Asia, Europe and South America, he specializes in facilitating companies find common ground with their partners and customers in international trade.
Mr. Umesh Kaushik is part of the core founding team of BGBS. He is a lawyer and member of the Karnataka Bar Council. He has more than 4 decades of professional experience, primarily in the field of industrial debt financing. At BGBS, he leads efforts related to all company and legal matters on behalf of clients. In addition, he offers advisory support to business development teams in matters of government tendering and rules based procurement. He is also the resident geopolitical expert at BGBS and contributes towards risk identification and mitigation strategy development for international companies active in India or about to enter the market. He is a former banker with one of the leading financial institutions of India, IFCI. He has worked with several leading industry veterans across India handling multiple field roles in involved in medium to large scale industrial project financing.
Mrs. Indira Kaushik is a serial entrepreneur and part of the core founding team at BGBS. She has more than 35 years of experience as an expert in the fields of business research, data analysis and financial markets. In addition, she brings with her a rich experience of operating equity markets with more than 15 years of hands on experience in the field. At BGBS, she is the head of global market research and leads projects as the chief client solution delivery architect. She has been involved in 250+ detailed market research projects during the course of her professional journey. In her earlier roles, she had worked extensively on industry projects related to loan syndication and corporate debt restructuring while working at Industrial Finance Corporation of India for close to 25 years. She has also launched and successfully exited 3 small scale ventures in the fields of food and beverages, arts and transportation.
Mr. Manu Rajan has been a part of the BGBS family for more than half of the time that the company has been in existence. He specializes in shepherding clients through their often complex and daunting journey of India market entry by acting as their friend, philosopher and guide. He and his team act as the primary interface layer for the client with the solution delivery team at BGBS. He works closely with professionals from across the services spectrum of BGBS such as field sales professionals, digital marketing specialists, market research executives and external advisors. He is responsible for ensuring that clients are always kept informed of ground developments during the execution of projects by bridging the technical and business related communications between BGBS and client representatives.
Ms. Vaishnavi Raju is a chemical engineer by qualification and a data connoisseur by practice. She is the numbers wizard at BGBS and plays an important role in delivering business intelligence to clients globally. She specializes across multiple facets of client delivery solutions such as identification of sources for market information, validation of multiple data points, rigorous implementation of client preference filters and eventually crystallization of actionable insights to business development teams. Her work enables clients to unlock potential in emerging markets by understanding where to invest their new market entry budgets optimally in order to generate sustainable returns. She also leads efforts at BGBS to continually improve relationships with key decision makers at both private and government companies from across sectors in the Indian market.
Mr. Aashish Kaushik is the newest squad member in the BGBS family. An accounts major and an MBA in Marketing and Finance, he is the archetypical business analyst. His work involves being on the frontlines of executing client delivery solutions, whether it is in the form of identification and evaluation of channel partners or being part of the field sales contingent working towards generating new leads. He is also the principal BGBS envoy in Northern part of India and is responsible for expanding the company’s footprint across the region. In his previous avatars, he has worked across diverse industry segments such as IT services, E Commerce, Digital Marketing and Media.
Mr. R.C. Nathan is the mentor-in-chief at BGBS and advises the company’s management regularly on all aspects of business development and business networking. He is the founder and managing director of Nathan and Nathan Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (NNCPL), a full service consulting firm located in Bangalore with more than 28 years of standing. NNCPL has worked with more than 3000 clients from India and abroad cutting across industry verticals and geographical divides. With a large domestic and global presence and a wide network of contacts, Mr. Nathan has been a regular business traveler to countries in Europe and South East Asia for more than 10 years. We at BGBS solicit his expertise in business development activities and he assists our clients in developing new relationships with their potential customers in the Indian market.
Mr. Rajan Venkateswaran is the Manager Director of Black Gold Energy Services, Oman. A senior management professional with more than three decades of experience in varying fields like New Venture Advisory, Investment Banking, Petroleum, IT, Training, Education and Consultancy, he has set up, built and restructured multiple organizations. He possesses deep geographical expertise of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region from business, geopolitical and cultural perspectives. He is currently based out of Oman and has worked in the Middle East for the past 17 years. During this time, he has been involved in establishing 23 new companies in the region. Mr. Ravinder Garg is a senior practicing Chartered Accountant and a well respected professional among the business community of North India. Having plied his trade by running his own practice as well as being a partner at other reputed firms for over three and a half decades, he has been deeply involved with providing his expertise in the fields of accounting, auditing and consultancy services to clients across North India representing both public as well as private sectors. In addition, he has also served on the board of directors at Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd, the state wide power distribution and transmission utility major being nominated by the Haryana State Government. We at BGBS rely on his expertise in matters of setting up Indian subsidiaries of international companies as well as ensuring that all legal and statutory requirements are handled with complete compliance during formation and operational stages of new ventures.
Mr. Ravi Bhushan Sehgal is a finance veteran having a multi disciplinary familiarity with technical subjects, with close to 4 decades of professional experience across industry verticals such as steel, oil & gas and international trade. He is a unique combination of being a qualified Chartered Accountant as well as an MBA in finance from the prestigious FMS business school in Delhi. In his long and distinguished career at India’s largest steel producer – Steel Authority of India, he was deeply involved in areas such as financial accounting, international contract negotiations, auditing, strategies and policies among many others. He has a rich experience in negotiating joint venture arrangements with international companies worth several millions of Euros and specializes in identifying and mitigating foreign exchange related risks. We at BGBS seek his counsel in international negotiations, import & export related topics, technology licensing agreements and in dealings with public sector procurement organizations.
Mr. Satbir Singh is an economist by qualification and an experienced hand in the world of finance. He has recently concluded his decades long journey with one of India’s oldest and most prestigious industrial lending financial institution – IFCI. During his time at the organization, he had been involved with several leadership roles at the group, including having served as the Managing Director of IFCI Factors Ltd. He has also served as the COO of IFCI Venture Capital Ltd along with having held numerous leadership positions at both the head office and the regional offices of the group. His areas of specializations include deal sourcing, evaluation of debt proposals, loan sanctions and disbursements, legal and statutory compliance and handling of nonperforming assets. We at BGBS work with him on cases requiring business development support at companies in his network as well as identifying and evaluating financing deals in the Indian industry.
Mr. Fulop Csaba combines the dual responsibilities of public service and International trade with aplomb. He is based out of Hungary and is the founder and head of Fulop Consulting, a 13 years old specialized consultancy organization that focuses on supporting international companies gain access to markets in Europe. Being an economist by qualification, he is also fluent in several languages including German, English and Hungarian. His network of business associates and partners are spread across continental Europe and includes trusted associates in countries such as Italy, Poland, and Russia among many others. He has many years of professional experience as a supply chain management subject matter expert advising global companies in managing their procurement budgets in the challenging markets of South America. Being a native of the picturesque city of Rosario in Argentina and being well versed with English, Spanish and Portuguese, he has led procurement projects for global clients across most South and Central American regions, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Mexico among others. He is currently based out of Barcelona, Spain and heads his own company, GM – LATAM, that assists international companies who wish to do business in South America. Mr. Kim Kang is based out of Seoul, South Korea. He is a well respected expert in the metal processing industry with decades of experience in the field. He has also been involved in facilitating market entry of international companies into the South Korean market. In collaboration with his partners and network of business associates, he has facilitated companies from outside Asia to successfully enter the growing markets in South Korea, Vietnam and China. He divides his time equally between India and the US as part of running his own Indo-US international business facilitation company – Top Line Triangle. With more than 10 years of professional experience across industries and geographies, he is a capable hand at guiding companies enter new markets through virgin territory frameworks. He has founded and successfully exited a core industry start up – Resolve Innovations, an engineering services and products company that was headquartered in Bangalore, India. Prior to that, he had been the head of the Packaging Domain at Beroe Consulting and led procurement consultancy projects on behalf of scores of multinational clients.
